2025 KOTAA Travel Grant

 

Greetings from KOTAA!

 

The Korean Transportation Association in America (KOTAA) Travel Grant Award was founded in 2001 to encourage students in transportation areas to attend the TRB Annual Meeting and KOTAA Annual Meeting so that students join the community that KOTAA has created for networking and collaboration.

 

KOTAA is currently accepting applications for the 24th KOTAA Travel Grant Award. Application guidelines and instructions are included in this announcement.

 

Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for consideration, Award applicants:

 

  1. must attend the 2025 KOTAA annual meeting with a paper(s) accepted for presentation and/or publication in TRB 2025.
  2. must plan to pursue a career in transportation-related field.
  3. must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a transportation-related field at the time of the KOTAA Annual Meeting OR recently graduated from such a program and currently searching for employment or advanced degree opportunities.
  4. must be a KSEA member (Apply for KSEA membership at https://www.ksea.org/signUp). Do NOT pay your KSEA membership when you renew/apply on the KSEA website. KOTAA will collect your membership fee on-site. Detailed instructions are provided in the announcement document

 

Application Instructions: Award applicants must fill KOTAA Travel Grand Award Application Form on the Google Form by December 2, 2024. Please prepare the following content for the application:

 

  1. YouTube link of 3-minute presentation recorded in English
  2. Your CV form - please ensure the file is renamed as [(first name)_(last name)_(KSEA ID).xlsx]
    (e.g., Kyungsoo_Jeng_ksjeong99.xlsx) download form
  3. Paper review results in PDF form - please ensure the file is named as [(first name)_(TRB paper number)_RR.pdf]
    (e.g., Jeong_07199_RR.pdf)
If you have multiple papers accepted, please complete a separate application package for each paper, but please upload your CV once.

 

Award winners will be announced on December 17, 2024 and awarded at the KOTAA Annual Meeting. Upon reviewing a 3-minute recording, excellent presentation awards will be given to those who are selected.
