Since 2001, KOTAA supports Korean students to attend TRB annual meeting with funds from our members and partners. Over the past 30 years, we have provided grants to more than 570 students, and we hope this will help them gain new experiences and continue their academic pursuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2026 KOTAA Travel Grant<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Requirements<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

1) Must attend the 2026 KOTAA annual meeting with a paper(s) accepted for presentation and\/or publication in TRB 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Must prepare a 3-minute presentation recording in English and send a YouTube link of the recording along with the application form by December 1, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) Must plan to pursue a career in transportation-related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4) Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a transportation-related field at the time of the KOTAA Annual Meeting OR recently graduated from such a program and currently searching for employment or advanced degree opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5) Must be an active KSEA member with proof of your membership.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

To fill out the form, please prepare TRB paper review results in PDF form and Screenshot of KSEA membership status. Please review the instruction attached carefully before submit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travel grant award winners will be announced on December 19, 2025<\/strong> and awarded at the KOTAA Annual Meeting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon reviewing a 3-minute recording, excellent presentation awards and Dr. Hosin Lee award<\/strong> will be given to those who are selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Hosin Lee Distinguished Best Presentation Award<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

The Dr. Hosin Lee Award is endowed by Dr. Hosin Lee, the 5th President of KOTAA and a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at The University of Iowa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award will be presented to recognize one outstanding paper among travel grant applicants. The evaluation will be based on your TRB paper review and oral presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recipient of the award will receive a $1,000 scholarship and a certificate of recognition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
